Professional Fence Repair in Hernando County

Fence repair for wood and vinyl fences. We fix leaning sections, replace broken boards, repair gates, and restore structural integrity after storms.

Fence Repair FAQ

Can you fix a fence that is leaning?expand_more

Yes. A leaning fence is usually caused by a rotted or loosened post at the base. We dig around the post to assess it. If the post is solid, we replumb and repack it with concrete. If it is rotted at or below ground level, we replace the post.

What type of fence repair do you handle?expand_more

We repair wood and vinyl fences — replacing broken or rotted boards, resetting leaning posts, fixing sagging gates, replacing hardware, and straightening sections damaged by storms or falling limbs. Full fence installation is outside our scope, but section repairs and post replacement are well within it.

How do you replace a single fence board?expand_more

We match the board width, thickness, and profile to your existing fence, cut it to length, and fasten it with corrosion-resistant screws. For stained or painted fences, we can stain or paint the new board to match, though new wood always takes stain slightly differently.

My gate drags on the ground. Can you fix it?expand_more

Dragging gates are one of the most common fence complaints we see. The fix depends on the cause: sagging hinges get shimmed or replaced, a twisted frame gets reinforced with a diagonal brace or turnbuckle, and a settled post gets replumbed.

How soon after a storm can you do fence repairs?expand_more

We schedule storm damage repairs as quickly as possible since damaged fences are a security concern and potential code violation. After major storms, we prioritize fence and screen cage repairs to help homeowners secure their properties.

How We Handle Fence Repair

Every job follows a consistent process to ensure quality results.

1

Damage Assessment

We walk the entire fence line to identify all damaged sections, leaning posts, broken boards, failed hardware, and gate issues. We probe posts at ground level for rot and check that concrete footings are intact.

2

Post Repair or Replacement

Leaning posts are excavated and replumbed with fresh concrete. Rotted posts are removed and replaced — new posts are set in concrete with proper depth (typically one-third of total post length below grade).

3

Board & Rail Replacement

Broken, split, or rotted boards and rails are removed and replaced with matching material. We use corrosion-resistant fasteners throughout. For vinyl fences, we source matching panels and rail sections from the manufacturer or compatible suppliers.

4

Gate Repair & Hardware

Gate hinges are replaced or repositioned, frames are squared and braced, and latches are adjusted for smooth operation. We install anti-sag kits on heavy gates to prevent future dragging.

5

Final Alignment Check

We check the entire repaired section for plumb and level, verify that gates swing freely and latch securely, and confirm that the repair blends with the existing fence.
