Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hernando's Handy Neighbor website and the residential handyman services provided by Hernando's Handy Neighbor LLC(“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our website, contacting us for service, or receiving messages from us, you agree to these Terms.

Services

Hernando's Handy Neighbor provides residential handyman services under the Florida Statute 489.103 handyman exemption. We are fully insured for general liability. Work involving electrical connections, structural changes, HVAC, or other trades requiring a licensed specialist is coordinated with appropriately licensed trades in accordance with Florida Statute 489.503.

All estimates are provided in good faith based on the information and conditions observed at the time of quoting. Final pricing may be adjusted if unforeseen conditions are discovered during the work; any price adjustment will be communicated and approved before additional work proceeds. Our minimum service call is $150.

Completed work is covered by a 90-day workmanship guarantee. If our work develops a defect within 90 days of completion, we will return and correct it at no charge. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, tampering, or unrelated environmental events.

Payment

Invoices are due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept credit/debit cards (via Stripe), checks, cash, Zelle, and Venmo. Past-due invoices may accrue a late fee of 1.5% per month on any balance unpaid after 30 days.

SMS Program Terms

Program name: Hernando's Handy Neighbor Service Messaging

Program description: Transactional text messages related to residential handyman service requested from Hernando's Handy Neighbor. Messages may include appointment confirmations, estimate delivery, invoice delivery with a secure payment link, and a single post-service review request. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS.

How to opt in: You opt in by providing your mobile phone number to us — through our contact form at hernandoshandyneighbor.com, by calling our business line, or in person when requesting service. Providing your mobile number establishes the existing business relationship and constitutes your express consent to receive service-related SMS.

Message frequency: Low. Typically two to four messages per completed service job.

Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. Hernando's Handy Neighbor does not charge a fee for sending or receiving SMS.

How to opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further SMS will be sent. Opt-outs are enforced immediately at the platform level. Other accepted opt-out keywords: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT.

Supported carriers:All major U.S. carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and their affiliates). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: Phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Cancellation

Scheduled appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Same-day cancellations after a technician has been dispatched may be charged the $150 service-call minimum to cover travel and scheduling cost.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim arising from services provided is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We maintain general liability insurance and will provide a certificate of insurance on request. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, concealed defects, or consequential damages not directly caused by our workmanship.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hernando County, Florida.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted to this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
